These pods can validate the the surgical cuts that the surgeon takes while operating. This increases the accuracy of the surgery. As per current literature evidence the accuracy of conventional knee replacement is not much inferior to computer navigated replacement. There are special conditions in which navigated knee replacement are necessary. Computer navigation is necessary in patients with previous implants inside. In these patients the conventional jigs cant used.
